This project was a $9.5 million addition and renovation, following an addition in the mid-1990s. The project involved the in-fill of the University Community Centre pool, and repurposing of the gymnasiums into classrooms, lecture theatres, and several student services offices. The facility includes offices for numerous student groups, retail units, a day care area, exercise rooms, a multipurpose theatre and a restaurant/bar. Mechanical services included new air handling units and the reuse of some existing air handling units. Heating and fire protection systems were also modified to suit the renovation. Electrical systems included new LED and fluorescent lighting throughout, electrical power distribution, and a rough-in for IT and classroom audio visual systems. Subsequently, several renovation projects upgraded areas of the original building. The later addition of the new Student Services building involved further modifications to integrate the student facilities and services. The project was completed in 2010.
