This project was a 4,500 m2 addition to the existing library at King’s University College. The building is a student activity centre and features a 400-seat auditorium, fitness centre, games and entertainment area, public café, several classrooms, meeting rooms and offices. Some of the green features of this building are a green roof, water harvesting system, variable volume air systems, variable speed pumping, high-efficiency condensing boilers, demand control ventilation, low flow plumbing fixtures, high efficiency lighting, occupancy sensors and daylight harvesting. The project was completed in 2013.
