This project was a new $80 million, 15,000 m2 aquatic facility which included a 71.5m competitive pool tank and 4,200 m2 water park. The facility was constructed to host international swimming and diving competitions and houses the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre, as well as the Adventure Bay Family Water Park. The 71.5m competitive pool tank has two movable bulkheads, a movable floor and a 10m dive tower, as well as seating for over 900 spectators and 600 competitors. The Water Park included an adventure river, double flow rider, wave pool, an area for younger children, an activity pool, and a dozen waterslides. The facility also included 600 m² of fitness space and gymnasium, as well as administration and office areas. Mechanical systems for the pools include automatic water treatment, disinfection and heating and cooling capabilities, to maintain precise, adjustable water conditions. Chorley + Bisset Ltd provided mechanical and electrical engineering for the project, including the building, pool and water park mechanical and electrical systems. The project was completed in 2014.
