This project is a new $26 million, 7,902 m2 two storey elementary school with child care centre. The facility is designed for an initial capacity of 660 students, with the potential for a future eight classroom addition. Sustainable design features include water source heat pumps for heating and cooling, high efficiency condensing boilers with energy recovery, low flow plumbing fixtures, and LED lighting. Provisions were made in the early design stage for the water source heat pump system to be converted to a decarbonized ground source system utilizing geothermal energy. The project is scheduled to be completed in Fall 2024.
