The project was a new 16,725 m2 Central Library for the City of London, constructed in space previously occupied by a three-level department store. The new library houses paper, electronic and video collections, meeting and study rooms, and a 400-seat performance hall. The scope of work included wired and wireless telecommunication systems, plus CCTV and access control security systems. The project was completed in 2002.
