Dennis Dawe, BEng P.Eng. President
Dennis Dawe has two decades of consulting engineering experience, including 15 years with Chorley + Bisset He has been the project engineer for five major building upgrade projects at the University of Western Ontario, and recently he has taken the lead role in a range of projects at Carleton University in Ottawa. Dennis is a LEED™ Accredited Professional.

Derek B. Vakaras, BASc P.Eng. Vice President
Derek Vakaras has extensive experience with complex projects, particularly those involving laboratory facilities. Drawing on his 12 years of consulting engineering experience, Derek applies innovative strategies to Mechanical design processes. He was the Mechanical design engineer for London’s first three LEED™ projects, and now is responsible for a total of four LEED™ Gold projects. Derek is a partner and Director of the firm, as well as a LEED™ Accredited Professional.

Andrew Piatek, BSc P.Eng. Vice President
Andrew Piatek has been with Chorley and Bisset for over twenty years. Andrew’s background is in chemical and process engineering and he specializes in work involving piping system design and flow analysis. Andrew has led design teams on many complex projects involving steam generating plants and district cooling systems in Health Care, University and Industrial facilities. He is a partner and Director of the firm, and a LEED™ Accredited Professional.

Robert D. Gordon, BSc P.Eng. Senior Principal
Bob Gordon has been responsible for all of Chorley + Bisset’s electrical engineering work for almost two decades. He began his career as a licensed electrician and later obtained an Electrical Engineering degree from UWO. Drawing on both theoretical and applied experiences, Bob is a unique and valuable Electrical team leader. Bob has extensive experience in the engineering of electrical systems both above and below 600 Volts. Also, he is a Registered Communications Distribution Designer, and a LEED™ Accredited Professional.
